The House That She Built Construction Update

Waterproofing- Libby and Sarah came out from Rocky Mountain Waterproofing. They installed Tuff-N-Dri which includes a warranty against leaks and is significantly thicker than standard damp-proofing. They also installed our window wells and footing drains.

Sub Rough Plumbing – Emily did our sub rough plumbing with support from female owned Budd Rich Plumbing (thanks Laura and Bronson)!

Utilities & Backfill- Kathy from PBS and Miff from Utah Home Building Company came back out to run our utility connections and work on the backfill. We also met the amazing Lisa from LM Homes and Design who finished up the backfill for us.

Gravel Fill- Nicole from Brand X Concrete Pumping shot the gravel for the basement backfill. We are very grateful to Danny from Rock Chuckers who lent us his machine, as well as his expertise. Stephanie, Jennie, Natalie and Kristin, from our council helped out with raking and making sure everything was prepped for concrete.

Basement & Garage Slab – Kim from Red Hawk Construction and Sheila, who previously helped out with our foundation, worked with Sandy, Andela, Crystal, and Kristi to pour and finish the slabs. They were assisted and provided with additional tools by Lucas Construction.

Framing- Wow! What can I say but a huge thank you to the MANY people who stepped up to help with framing. First of all PBS who donated all of the materials for the walls and their amazing all women team who pre-built the walls. Builders First Source for donating the trusses and the rest of the framing material. Those two donations were huge and made a big difference for this project. Magleby Construction and Masterpiece Framing who lent us their tools, their expertise, and an amazing team of women who came out to help with framing on several days. Steven Dailey Construction who lent us many tools. Lynn, Lori and Heidi all from PBS, Kaydee from Geneva, and Ivy a BYU student, who spent many days out tirelessly working on the framing. They were supported by Crystal, Kristi, Natalie, Jennie, Sandy, Kristin, Stephanie T., Stephanie S., Pierrette, Nen, Andela and others from our council who pitched in to make this huge project a success.

Rough Plumbing- We were grateful to have Kelly and Corey come all the way from Pennsylvania for our rough plumbing. We also had Adria from Same Day Plumbing working with them. Both Ferguson and Moen worked together to supply them with the materials they needed, along with Peterson Plumbing who donated the tubs.

Rough HVAC- Our own Natalie from LKL worked alongside Moriah from Central Heating on the HVAC installation. They were supported with materials from Comfort Solutions, and two fantastic furnaces by Trane.

Other Donations- Due to delays in development of the lot, we literally could not have continued in construction without the generous support of Wheeler CAT, who donated use of a generator for the project. We are also extremely grateful to Little Giant, who donated ladders, and Stabila for donating tools.
